

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister received in Muscat on wednesday Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed relations of cooperation between the two countries and explored ways to further develop and enhance them across various fields to serve the joint interests.
Discussions also addressed a number of current regional and international developments, as the two ministers exchanged views on the importance of fostering conditions conducive to de-escalation, intensifying efforts to reduce tensions and support political and diplomatic solutions in order to preserve the region's security and stability, uphold international law, and remain committed to the principles of the United Nations Charter.
In this context, the meeting touched upon developments related to the security and freedom of maritime navigation in the region, alongside support for efforts to secure both navigation and the movement of supply chains, thereby contributing to the stability of the global economy.
Both sides emphasized the importance of sustained dialogue and coordination on issues of mutual concern, as well as supporting efforts aimed at strengthening security, stability, and peace in the region and the world.
The meeting was attended by Munthir bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Head of the Europe Department at the Foreign Ministry and Kjersti Tromsdal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Sultanate of Oman, along with a number of officials from both sides.
